PAL Protect
Let us introduce you to your PAL Protect. Personal Accident & Optional Life & Critical Illness Insurance for Military and MOD Personnel.
If you have been a PAX policy holder, you will know the PA and Optional Life & Critical Illness scheme ends from midnight on 31/05/23.
The good news is that your new PAL has got your back, and your cover with PAL Protect will start from 00.01 on 01/06/23 in a seamless transition.
The MoD will no longer stop payroll deduction from 01/06/23.
If you had cancelled your cover amid all the recent changes, but want it back, just complete & submit the new JPA PAL 1 form (below in the documents section) so that your Unit HR can reinstate it before 15/06/23. We will then treat the cover as if it has been continuous. There will be no gap in cover, and no new exclusions or underwriting for pre-existing medical conditions.
If you don’t want your cover to continue past 31/05/23, let your unit HR know with the cancellation form, and they will make the arrangements for you.
